Few quick updates:
-school is DONE
-most friends are home
-family is in town
-less than one week in HK
With that said today was a pretty eventful day. Did some tourist stuff with the fam in New Territories: HK Heritage Museum, 10,000 buddahs, monkeys, and a temple we thought was 10,000 buddahs but turned out to be a real temple/place with dead people. But it was tonight that was randomly eventful.
It started off in Mong Kok where I randomly stopped in a Nike Basketball shop to ask about the highly anticipated Jordan 11 "space jams" and I ended up getting a ticket for a "Lucky Draw" later that night. When back a few hours later and after about an hour of standing and listening to a lot of Chinese numbers "wong sik sei sap sei hou" (yellow #44) were the magic words to get me a pair of em.
I then proceeded to run into Eugene from Hypebeast at the MTR station and caught the last bus home (score!) Later I met up with him in LKF, meeting Jefford (Toronto, CAN) and Andy (Germany). Also met up with HKU kids and just wondered around LKF for the night.
I also saw an integra wrapped around a pole on the way home. There was a guy standing next to it, so I hope everyone was ok. It was nuts though, only the 2nd accident I've seen in 4 months here.
All and all pretty successful/interesting night. Tomorrow is Christmas eve and in HK that means party, so when in Rome.
I don't have pictures yet, so for now here are some images of what I DIDNT have to put up with to get my space jams

HK Recap: Halloween
Hopefully after finals, I will update this with stuff, but to get the ball rolling. Just pretend this was posted a month and a half ago.
Halloween in Hong Kong is nuts. Not in the sense that there are throngs of kids scouring the neighborhood for candy or teenage hooligans thrashing around. Nope none of that. Halloween in Hong Kong is partying in LKF.
LKF (Lan Kwai Fong) is a bar area near Central Hong Kong which gets packed at Halloween. Super crowded, directed traffic, barricades and some pretty legit costumes made up the night. All in all, pretty hectic but definitely worth it.
Crowded much?
Harry reppin team toilet paper mummy hard.
Guess my costume: __________.
Ninja Turtles...all 5 (?) of them
Sums it up pretty well
Moral of the story: if you're in HK and it's Oct 31st, go to LKF.
peaces.

the begining of the end...
Last night I went clubbing with some local friends at LKF. Tak generously put us on the list to Club Beijing and Billion, but last night was frustrating to say the least. Basically some of our friends couldn't go in for "something I can't say because I already told you". I don't know whether it was their hair or the fact they look young, but the bouncers are getting to be more and more of a headache. I think it's high time I give those clubs a bit of a break.
And just in the nick of time. I don't know exactly when I began to ponder, but sometime between last night and eating breakfast I realized I only have 3-4 more weekends here before everyone starts to part ways. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of things I am very much looking forward to at home, but I am starting to feel frantic in the fact that there is still so much to do. So much, in fact, I don't even know what those things are.
Bottom Line: it's game time. Get your work done. Go out. Stop doing the same thing as last week.
Ready, steady, go.
